Previous Dev projects & personal experiments
As a self proclaimed “builder”, I try to find new ways to learn and grow… from designing to coding up new products. Below, I have some miscellaneous projects from my time as a software engineer and personal explorations!
room visualization app
client: rooms2go
my role: software engineer
technology used: Python, TensorFlow, OpenCV, C++, C#
goal: Develop an application to help customer’s envision what their personal living space could look like with new furniture from Room2go’s online catalogue. Customers can upload an image of their living space, remove certain pieces of their existing furniture and replace it with new pieces
L-Systems Virtual Reality
client: khazanahs americas
my role: software engineer/research student
technologies used: unity3d, C#, python, blender
goal: Explore the ideas of ‘algorithms in nature’ via a virtual reality application that simulates a digital experience that places users into a juxtaposition between two different environments. One through the connection to the digital and one to our lived experiences in nature. I utilized fractals and L-systems to build the assets the tree’s and flocking algorithms to simulate the way nature moves around us. Read more about my design process here.
